Day 3 – Whitecourt, Alberta, to Fort Nelson, BC (562 miles/904km) Feb. 15, 2012
First we went to Aaron Peck’s house near Grand Prairie. Aaron is a great musher who has run the Iditarod, The International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race, and many others. We were traveling with Team Bailey, they dropped off the dogs that we picked up yesterday. At Dawson Creek, BC, we started on the “World Famous” Alaskan Highway. We drove late into the night and reached Fort Nelson long after I’d fallen asleep. See all the photos on my Flickr Photostream!

Really been enjoying your journey updates. Looks like you and Jenny will be representing Montana well. I see there are currently 8 AK Jr. mushers, 1 from MA & 1 from CA. Be sate, race well and have a blast.

Awesome photostream on Flikr. Next best thing to being there without the hassle of 5 flat tires. I hope the next stretch of road is easier on the tires and you all make good, safe progress towards Anchorage.
